On Wednesday, 27 July 2022, PsySSA launched its Decolonising Psychology Interest Group.

The launched was chaired by PsySSA President, Prof Shahnaaz Suffla, with inputs offered from President-Elect, Prof Floretta Boonzaier, Past President, Prof Saths Cooper and Student Chairperson and Treausurer, Ms Bridgette Mogoje and Ms Genevieve Burrow.

PsySSA Congratulates Prof Norman Duncan on his appointment as SAJP Editor-in-Chief 2023 – 2028

The SAJP is the official and flagship journal of the Psychological Society of South Africa (PsySSA). The SAJP publishes peer-reviewed contributions in English from all fields of psychology. Whilst the emphasis is on empirical research, the journal also accepts theoretical and methodological papers, review articles, book reviews, and comments on articles published in the journal. Priority is given to articles relevant to Africa and that address psychological issues of social change and development.

PsySSA is proud to announce that Prof Norman Duncan has been appointed as the Editor-in-Chief of the South African Journal of Psychology (SAJP) for the tenure 2023 – 2028, commencing from the 1st of September 2022.

The Congress Programme brings you a wide range of presentations from practitioners, scholars, researchers, educators, students, community organisers, activists, artists, and policymakers that showcase and contribute to trajectories and movements in psychology thought, practice and activism.

With over 100 Oral Presentations, 8 Symposia and 16 Roundtables, the 26th Congress promises to be an exciting and a stimulating event.
