Heather Snyman

Heather Snyman is a Registered Counsellor and qualified as an EMDR Clinician in November 2013. She opened her practice in January 2014, and for the last 11 years she has been in Private Practice specialising in trauma, anxiety and depression, and sexual abuse. She works exclusively online using an EMDR platform and focuses on working with adults and adolescents. In addition to her EMDR practice, Heather has more than 20 years of diverse experience in Corporate and self-employment. She also completed her psychometric internship and worked for a period as a freelance psychometrist. Heather was a volunteer Counsellor at the Teddy Bear Clinic (2000-2002), an NGO for sexually abused children. In 2002, she did a Certificate Couse at the University of Johannesburg in Assessment of Sexually Abused Children. She worked at Nkosi’s Haven for 17 years (2002-2019) as the Resident Counsellor and Coordinator.
