Brendon Barnes is a Professor and Vice Dean of Humanities at the University of Johannesburg. His research focuses on environment, health and psychology in the global South.  He contributes to this field in the following ways: to make visible evidence of toxic environments and child development, to deepen and critique the concept of ‘behaviour’ in relation to environmental injustice, and to develop critical research methods in environmental justice research.
