Kendall is a Lecturer and BPsych Practicum Coordinator at Cornerstone Institute, where she plays a pivotal role in training and mentoring future Registered Counsellors. A Registered Counsellor and Clinical Pastoral Counsellor, Kendall runs a private practice, offering counselling in Cape Town.
She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Pastorate (Cum Laude) from Stellenbosch University, a Psychology Honours (Cum Laude), and a Bachelor of Theology (Summa Cum Laude) from Cornerstone Institute. Her work reflects a deep passion for the integration of faith and psychology. Kendall has presented at the PsySSA Annual Psychology Congress on topics including the intersection of faith and psychology, the role of Registered Counsellors in South Africa, and the training of BPsych students. Her academic interests extend to systemic approaches to well-being, intergenerational responsibility, and holistic models of care.Kendall is actively involved in academic committees, curriculum development, and the professional training of Registered Counsellors. Beyond academia, she contributes to talks, podcasts, and community initiatives that promote accessible, holistic mental health care.In her role as Vice Chairperson of the RCP Division of PsySSA, Kendall is committed to strengthening advocacy for, and the understanding of, the role of the Registered Counsellor in South Africa. She is passionate about encouraging Registered Counsellors to embrace their professional identity and to recognise the vital role they play in expanding accessible, community-oriented, and impactful mental health care.
