Health Professions Council of South Africa | eBulletin | 2 July 2025

Dear Stakeholder

The Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) has extended the call for nominations of suitable persons to be considered to serve on the HPCSA Professional Boards for the term 2025-2030. The term of office for the current Professional Board members ends on 31 October 2025. Those practitioners who have submitted their nomination forms should not resubmit.

Please note: You may not nominate yourself, and that self-nominated submissions will not be considered. All health practitioners actively registered with the HPCSA are invited to nominate members of their respective Professional Boards to be appointed by the Minister of Health to serve for a period of five (5) years.

The persons to be appointed on the Professional Boards will have a duty to ensure that the HPCSA serves the interests of all South Africans by protecting the public and guiding the registered health practitioners. The closing date for the nominations is 31 July 2025. Click here for details on how to submit your nominations and eligibility criteria.

The appointed service provider to oversee the nominations process is Election Solutions 4 Africa (ES4A). All completed nomination forms must reach the Returning Officer by 31 July 2025.
