Dr Adele Munsami is a registered Research Psychologist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and a Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Psychology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). She holds a Master’s degree in Research Psychology from UKZN and a PhD in Neuropsychology from the University of Cape Town. Dr Munsami has extensive experience in coordinating longitudinal and cohort research studies as well as clinical trials. In her academic role, she teaches within the Psychology discipline and supervises students across Honours, Master’s, and PhD levels. She is a deputy chair of the UKZN Humanities and Social Sciences Research Ethics Committee (HSSREC) and also serves as a research associate/ scientist on various research studies. Her research interests lie in cognitive development, and she is particularly committed to promoting the relevance and application of research across all categories of psychology.
