Meet the experts

At 1pm-2pm meet Karen Borochowitz

She is the Executive Director of DementiaSA, her mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and lived with Dementia for 21 years, she passed away when she was 83 years old. Karen’s mother’s condition propelled her, together with some colleagues, to co-found DementiaSA. The organisation embraces the principles of person-centered care.

 

At 7pm-8pm meet Dr Ryan Fuller

He is a Psychiatrist and is currently in private practice as one of Johannesburg’s few Psycho-geriatricians at Life New Kensington Clinic. His special interests are Cognitive Disorders, related Mental Health problems, evidence-based treatment and safeguarding the elderly. He also consults at Discovery Health where he helped develop an innovative Senior Care Coordination Program.
