With only 60 places remaining, the Psychology Playground is quickly becoming one of the most anticipated experiences of the PsySSA 30th Annual Psychology Congress 2026.
Taking place on Tuesday, 13 October 2026 at 18h45 at Emperors Palace, Johannesburg, the Psychology Playground has been designed as more than a traditional Congress social event. It is an immersive experience that celebrates creativity, connection and community.
Inspired by the Congress theme, “Psychology in Transition: Humanity, Technology, and the Future of Care,” the Psychology Playground will bring together psychologists, academics, researchers, students and mental health professionals for an evening of discovery, conversation and celebration.
While we are keeping some elements under wraps, delegates can look forward to inspired flavours, meaningful connections and a few surprises along the way.
The evening has been designed to encourage interaction, spark new conversations and create memorable moments beyond the lecture hall.
Whether you are attending Congress for the first time or are a long-standing member of the PsySSA community, the Psychology Playground promises to be a memorable Congress experience.
