Sunitha Swanepoel is a Clinical Psychologist who holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She has worked in various clinical contexts, including The Department of Health and The Department of Correctional Services. She is part of numerous research teams and has presented her research at both national and international conferences. Currently, she also lectures part-time at The South African College of Applied Psychology. She is passionate about empowering patients/clients and advocating for LGBTIQ+ issues within the mental health landscape. Her current clinical work is with in- and out-patients with traumatic or acquired brain injuries. Sunitha is aiming to be selected as a Ph.D. candidate in the near future, with a research focus on LGBTIQ+ health professionals’ identities.
