Looking beyond the behaviour.
PsySSA commemorates National ADHD Day by raising awareness, challenging stigma, and promoting greater understanding of Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
Understanding ADHD
ADHD is a neurodevelopmental condition that can affect attention, impulse control and executive functioning across the lifespan. Greater understanding and appropriate support can make a meaningful difference in learning, work, relationships and everyday life.
Connect. Learn. Thrive.
This year’s theme, “Connect, Learn & Thrive,” calls for communities that understand and support people with ADHD.
Connect
Build relationships and environments where people with ADHD feel understood, included and supported.
Learn
Challenge stigma and misconceptions through accurate information and greater awareness of ADHD.
Thrive
Promote appropriate support and inclusive environments that enable people with ADHD to participate, develop and reach their potential.
Creating environments in which people with ADHD can flourish begins with how we understand, respond to and support neurodiversity in our homes, schools, workplaces and communities.
