Casey Fredericks initially joined the PsySSA Student Division (SD) as a mentee within the National Mentorship Programme, where she later went on to become a mentor and was also appointed secretary within the SD’s Research into Student Empowerment subcommittee. Casey is the appointed treasurer for the PsySSA SD’s upcoming tenure. Casey is a Psychology Honours graduate from the University of Cape Town (UCT), where she also completed her undergraduate degree with majors in Psychology and English. Casey is an aspiring Clinical Psychologist, and she is currently a clinical research intern at the UCT HIV Mental Health Research Unit and a tutor within the UCT Psychology Department.
