Barry Viljoen is a Clinical Psychologist working in the public sector. He is involved in academics in terms of training. His areas of interests are child and adolescent psychology, psychology within forensic settings, assessment, and critical disability studies. He is currently completing his Dpsych in Child and Adolescent Psychology.

Jade Morkel holds a Master of Psychology (Research) from the University of the Western Cape. She is a Junior Researcher at the UNISA’s Institute for Social and Health Sciences – South African Medical Research Council (ISHS – SAMRC). Her research interests include; Community Psychology, Community-based participatory research methods, Violence prevention and safety promotion. She is passionate about using research as a tool to privilege community voices from the margins.

Dr Kemoneilwe Momi Metsing is a registered Educational Psychologist, currently practicing and enriching the field with her profound insights and expertise. She holds a distinctive reputation as a registered practitioner and a registered expert witness with the South African Medico Legal Association (SAMLA), coupled with a resounding passion for Neurodiversity and Inclusive Education. Her fervour primarily lies with learners with Special Educational Needs (LSEN). Advancing Educational inclusivity, Community development, Intercultural and Diversity management is at the heart of Dr. Kemoneilwe Metsing’s philosophy.

Noxolo Dumani

Noxolo Dumani

Noxolo Dumani holds a Masters degree in Research Psychology from the University of the Western Cape. She is a Junior Researcher at the UNISA’s Institute for Social and Health Sciences – South African Medical Research Council (ISHS – SAMRC): Masculinity and Health Research Unit (MaHRU). Noxolo’s research interests include Feminism, Community Psychology, African Psychologies, and Adolescent Mental Health. She is passionate about exploring the use of social media as a liberatory and decolonial tool to engage with different communities on transdisciplinary Africa-centering critical, feminist, antiracist, community, and decolonising/decolonial psychologies.

Nomagugu Ngwenya

Nomagugu Ngwenya is a PhD candidate at the University of South Africa (UNISA), and a post-graduate assistant researcher at UNISA’s Institute for Social and Health Sciences (ISHS). Having completed a Master’s degree in Psychology at the University of the Witwatersrand, her interest are primarily set in critical social psychology. Through the exploration of race relations and gender dynamics, her work often aims to advocate for the inclusion of intersectional identities that are predominantly marginalised or overlooked.
