    SAJP Editor

    "Prof Kobus Maree (University of Pretoria) took over editorship from Prof Martin Terre Blanche (UNISA) in February 2008. Changes that have been made include expanding the editorial board, supporting emerging young researchers, especially female and black colleagues, and taking steps to improve the impact factor of the journal, and working towards publishing the journal electronically (id est, going online) as well as in paper format.

    Prof Maree is a professor in the Faculty of Education and editor of Perspectives in Education. A triple doctorate, he is internationally recognised for his work in e.g. career counselling and emotional intelligence facilitation, and the author or co-author of more than 50 books and chapters in books and 100 articles in accredited scholarly journals. He received the Exceptional Academic Achiever Award (UP) for a second term (2007-2009). Prof Maree was elected as a member of the South African Academy for Science and Arts in 2003 and elected as a member of the Academy of Science of South Africa (ASSAf) in 2006. He is a C1-rated researcher (NRF).
