ABSTRACT SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

A presentation of this type is traditionally allocated 30 minutes on the congress programme. This time slot allocation includes 10 minutes for discussion and audience interaction.

POSTERS

The poster presentation format has been designed to provide a more interactive and informal discussion than is generally afforded by the standard 'podium' presentation and symposium formats. Poster exhibitors are reminded that while graphic presentations are the primary presentation medium of the poster presentation format, they may distribute copies of the text versions of their papers, and other handouts to congress participants.

SYMPOSIA

A symposium is a 'podium' session that is organised by a co-ordinator around a common, circumscribed and topical theme, pertinent to the field of psychology. The symposium acts as a presentation and discussion forum that integrates several related papers around the common theme. A symposium session differs from a standard paper presentation session in that it involves several participants presenting papers that deal with the same topic. Important to note is that each presenter participates in the symposium at the invitation of the symposium co-ordinator. Symposium contributions are therefore divided into 2 components. Please ensure that you submit your abstract as [on scroll down option].

SYMPOSIUM PARTICIPANT

All participants in the symposium (including the symposium coordinator) must complete FORM 2 and submit as participants. The symposium coordinator is additionally required to complete the form as the formal symposium coordinator.

Round-table discussions are designed to allow participants to highlight issues pertaining to the topic of discussion and to provide a forum for interactive debate and discussion of these. While they are much less formal than podium and symposium presentations, presenters nonetheless may prepare papers to supplement, and in preparation for, their participation in the discussions. Please ensure that you submit your abstract as [on scroll down menu].
